Simply Bilash

Tucked away on Doxey Road in Stafford, Simply Bilash brings a flavorful twist to the local dining scene. It’s not just another Indian restaurant - it’s the kind of place you stumble into once and keep coming back to when that craving for bold spices and comfort food hits. Whether you're after a quiet solo dinner or a vibrant meal to share, this spot has built its name around quality, consistency, and serious flavor.

Let’s talk starters. One glance at the appetizer list and it’s clear this place knows what it’s doing. The Paneer Pakora delivers a golden crispiness outside and silky soft cheese inside - a bite-sized intro to what’s coming. Onion Bhajis are done right too - not greasy, perfectly spiced, and crunchy enough to make you reach for “just one more.” And if you’re leaning toward a bit of heat, the Chilli Paneer is a flavor bomb - sweet, spicy, tangy - everything dancing in balance.

Move over to mains and the variety is impressive. From familiar comforts like Chicken Rogan Josh to the richer, deeper Bhuna Chicken, the depth of the curries here shows in the sauce - thick, slow-cooked, and packed with personality. If you’re in the mood for something a little off the beaten path, the North Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken is a proper standout - full of fire but rounded with the smoky sweetness of caramelized garlic. Vegetarians aren’t left behind either. The Falafel, while not typically South Asian, adds a fresh, crispy option to the lineup. And if you’re skipping meat but still want substance, the Caprese Salad might surprise you with its freshness.

One of the most ordered dishes? The Tandoori Mixed Grill - and for good reason. Think sizzling platter, smoky aromas, and a mix of marinated meats cooked to juicy perfection. If you’re team seafood, the Tandoori King Prawns are plump, delicately charred, and well-seasoned - just what you’d want from a tandoor oven.

For those who like variety in one go, the Thali option is a dream: several curries, a chapati, rice, and sides, all neatly laid out for a full-flavor experience. And when it comes to rice, their Pilau Rice does more than just accompany - it holds its own with subtle spices and perfect texture.

Of course, what’s a hearty meal without something sweet to wrap it up? Simply Bilash is known for serving great dessert, and you’ll find rich, indulgent options that pair nicely with a cup of strong, aromatic coffee. Speaking of drinks - they serve everything from cold beer to warming spirits and wine, so you’ve got plenty of pairings to suit your taste.

Beyond the menu, this place also scores points for flexibility. Whether you’re dining in, picking up takeaway on a busy night, or getting food delivered straight to your doorstep - it’s all covered. And yes, they offer no-contact delivery, which is a huge plus for anyone who prefers extra convenience.

The vibe inside is laid-back and welcoming. It’s popular for dinner but also works for solo diners looking for a quiet meal with no fuss. While the food takes center stage, the staff keeps things moving smoothly, making the whole experience feel easy and relaxed.

If you're hunting for Indian food in Stafford that delivers both flavor and variety, Simply Bilash serves up plenty to love - from fiery curries and crispy starters to comforting mains and indulgent desserts. It’s one of those places that doesn’t shout, but quietly earns its place on your go-to list.

Our favourite Bangladeshi Restaurant. We have known Naz the owner for many years. He is always extremely friendly and goes out of his way to accommodate all your requests and make sure you have a special evening as do all the members of his team. The menu is extensive, but if you want something that isn't shown they will always try and sort it for you. Dietary requirements are not a problem. The food is always well presented and the portions are generous. Excellent value for money particularly on a Sunday night.
